A creative director on every project. The right team around it.

The G in G&Co is George Jillard. He founded the studio and leads every project it takes on, from the first conversation to the day the work goes live. The &Co is the collective of specialists he brings in around each brief. One person accountable throughout, and the right team assembled for the job rather than whoever happens to be free.

George

George Jillard, founder and creative director of G&Co.

George Jillard is the G in G&Co. A creative director with over twenty years across strategy, brand and product design, and the one on every project the studio takes on, from the first conversation to the day the work goes live.

Clients work with G&Co because they work with George. The person in the pitch is the person doing the thinking, and he stays in the room until it's finished. It's why the studio stays small at its centre and takes on a limited number of projects at a time.

  • Every project

Led start to finish, first conversation to handover. No exceptions.

  • Senior throughout

No junior team quietly doing the work once the contract is signed.

  • Commercial first

Grounded in how the work performs, not only how it looks.

I focus on experience-led brands because that's my passion.
Forty-four countries so far, a seven-month trip around the world and two months living out of a campervan across Europe. Travel and hospitality aren't a sector George picked off a list. They're the thing he'd be doing anyway.

& Collective

One person can't be excellent at everything, and George doesn't pretend to be. Around him sits a collective of specialists: designers, writers, developers, photographers, each genuinely excellent at one thing, assembled around each brief rather than fitting the brief to whoever's on a payroll.

Most studios solve capacity by hiring, then pay for people they don't need in the quiet months and stretch them thin in the busy ones. The client feels both. Over two decades George has worked with these people repeatedly. They're not a directory of freelancers. They're why the studio can take on a rebrand and a product build without either being compromised.

What we believe

Design should earn its keep. Every decision needs a reason that survives being asked about twice. We're not interested in work that looks impressive in a case study and falls apart the moment a real team has to use it.

We work in the open, in short loops. You see work early and often rather than waiting for a reveal, because reveals are theatre and they waste everyone's time when the direction is wrong.

Common questions

What does G&Co do?
G&Co is a brand and product design studio. We work on brand identity, website design and build, and digital product, taking projects from strategy through to the thing being live and used.
What does the name G&Co mean?
G is George Jillard, who founded the studio and leads every project. &Co is the collective: a group of specialist designers, writers, developers and photographers assembled around each brief. It's a description of how the studio works rather than a flourish.
How big is G&Co?
The studio is deliberately small at its centre and considerably larger in practice. George leads the work and draws on a collective of specialists sized to the project, so clients get senior people throughout rather than a large team with juniors doing the work.
Where is G&Co based?
Warwickshire, UK, near Warwick. We work with clients across the UK and internationally, including brands based in Monaco and Switzerland.
What sectors does G&Co specialise in?
Experience-led brands, particularly travel, hospitality and lifestyle. We also work with ambitious clients in other sectors who value the same approach.
